Happy Heather-Hyd-Day

Sorry, I know this post is just a wee bit late. I had wanted to write a nice post with some pics but I had a little trouble getting my photos together. So... belated thanks to everyone who helped to make Heather-Hyd-Day wonderful!

The party was fabulous. Filled with food, fun, and friends! We had a good turnout and the night was decorated with stars and colored lights and paper lanterns. Heather in her pretty party dress shows off the decor.

Sami surprised us with a starry cake, but she forgot the candles so we said cheers and made our wishes on some tealight candles. hee hee. It was really cute.
We had a good time opening presents, eating cake, and playing Mario Kart. Heather and I were definitely driving under the influence. =D

All in all, a good time was had! Thanks to everyone for coming out to play and for making our night wonderful!!

Merry Malloween!

Happy Halloween! I hope that you all had a great Halloween! Mine was spook-tacular!

I recycled my witch costume from last year with a few new changes and it was a hit at the office.

We carved pumpkins again this year and it was a great time! My friend Adeline joined us. It was the first time that she had ever carved a pumpkin and her kitty turned out great!

Halloween Cookie Making

Halloween kicks off the holiday season for me. We always made a big deal out of Halloween at home. Costumes, decoration, and of course...COOKIES!!
This year I had some help in the kitchen. Heather, Phoebe, and Lauren came to play!

We started out making popcorn balls. Grandma Cheryle's recipe of course! Phoebe was fascinated by the popcorn making and we had a fun sticky time gooing them all together. Sadly their are no pics of that moment as we all had our hands covered in caramel!
Next we made sugar cookies!

...and ate sugar cookies!
